PPC an important advertising solution offered by internet marketing agencies today. PPC in general terms is an advertising tool according to which the advertisers pay their host when their adds get clicked. In such a scenario the advertisers try to bid on specific key words relevant to their target market.The advertiser is called the merchant and the host is called the affiliate.
PPC is also called an pat for performance model wherein the merchant pays the adds get clicked on the host web site. The host websites who use the PPC ads technique display the advertisement in either of the two cases i.e. key word query matching the advertisers key word list or the key word query matches the key word content.Such type of adds generally appear on the right most corner of the search engine results and are also called sponsored adds.
The major players in PPC advertising today include Google, Yahoo and Miva. MSN has also started to provide this service with the name MicrosoftAdCenter. Many marketing agencies specialize in Google Adwords and PPC campaigns.
